Technology partnership, held to a higher standard.

SmallSpark is a Colorado-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit technology organization founded in 2024. We provide strategic technology leadership and managed IT services to organizations of every size and sector.

Our Mission

Our mission is to close the technology gap for the organizations and communities too often left behind by it — strengthening nonprofits and underserved small businesses, empowering Seniors and families, and building workforce pathways for the next generation of IT professionals.

SmallSpark began with a simple observation: organizations depend on technology more than ever, but too many are still expected to make important decisions without a trusted technology partner who truly understands how they work.

Technology decisions are rarely only about technology. They affect people, budgets, security, daily operations, future plans, and an organization's ability to do its work well. Yet many organizations are left coordinating separate vendors, managing unfamiliar systems, and trying to figure out how everything should fit together on their own.

We created SmallSpark to offer something more thoughtful. We do more than fix problems or manage individual systems. We take the time to understand each organization, the people behind it, and what they are trying to accomplish. Then we help bring strategy, security, infrastructure, and everyday technology under one clear direction.

Because SmallSpark operates as a nonprofit, our work is connected to a broader purpose. We partner with organizations of every size and sector while using our growth to expand access to trusted technology support and strengthen the communities we serve.

Technology is our expertise. People are the reason behind the work.

Our Commitments

Four commitments that shape our work.

01

People-First Approach

We begin by understanding the people, goals, operations, and real-world needs behind the technology. Every recommendation follows from that understanding.

02

Excellence by Default

Quality, reliability, security, documentation, and thoughtful execution are expected in every engagement — never optional and never an upsell.

03

A Partner, Not a Vendor

Long-term accountability, familiarity with your organization, and guidance that considers the full picture rather than isolated tickets or products.

04

Standards Worth Trusting

Clear, repeatable, security-conscious practices informed by recognized standards and applicable requirements — including environments affected by HIPAA, PCI DSS, SOC 2, and similar frameworks.

The Standard

"The standard technology function you'd build if you could hire the whole team."

That's the bar we hold ourselves to — with every organization, in every engagement, for as long as we're privileged to partner.
